Postgraduate Research Student Success
Improving research culture and widening access into postgraduate research are important priorities of research funders. AMCC works with universities interested in widening participation into postgraduate research by offering a training and coaching package that ensures all PGR students, especially those from non-traditional/underrepresented backgrounds, are exposed to knowledge and tools to progress and successfully complete a PGR degree. This programme prepares PGR students to effectively navigate the rigours of postgraduate research, manage their supervisor relationship, maintain their emotional and physical wellbeing, and prepare for academic and non-academic career pathways.
Inclusive Curriculum Design & Academic Development
Academic staff are often burdened with the task of integrating a myriad of agendas into the curriculum, leaving them overwhelmed and frustrated. With expertise in inclusive curriculum design, AMCC works with universities to bring theses agendas together through the development of an institutional curriculum framework, and associated QA processes, that empowers and supports academic teams to deliver inclusive curricula that improves continuation, attainment, and graduate outcomes as well as consider priorities such as sustainability and mental health & wellbeing.
Inclusive Student Careers & Employability Development
As the cost of higher education increases, Home and International students are making their university choices based on graduate career prospects. AMCC works with university careers services in a number of ways, including examining service provision, up-skilling careers professionals to better support academic teams, and training academic staff in high impact pedagogies and assessments to support employability development through the curriculum.
